Matheus Pereira can make his Corinthians debut after being registered for the Campeonato Paulista on Friday.

According to Meu Timao, the midfielder has been added to List A for senior players, taking the club to 23 registered, with the FPF allowing up to 35 by 13 February. The club also has eight on List B for academy players aged up to 21.

The registration strengthens options in the deepest midfield role, with Raniele, Charles, Ryan and André Carrillo also listed for the competition. José Martínez is not yet registered as he returns from Venezuela to resolve a passport issue.

An academy graduate, Pereira joins on loan from Fortaleza until the end of 2026, with an option to buy. He previously had spells with Juventus, Empoli, Bordeaux II, Paraná, Juventus B, Dijon, Barcelona B and Eibar before returning to Brazil.

The 27-year-old is Corinthians’ second confirmed signing. Centre-back Gabriel Paulista was the first and made his debut in the defeat to Red Bull Bragantino. Right-back Pedro Milans and forward Kaio César are close to joining.

Corinthians host São Paulo at 16:00 on Sunday at Neo Química Arena in the third round of the Paulistão.
