Milano Mayor Beppe Sala is waiting for an offer from Inter and Milan to buy the San Siro area ‘this week.’
The Milanese sides are still working out the best project for their new stadium.
Recent developments suggest they’ll send an offer to buy the San Siro area, including the Stadio Meazza.
This past October, the Italian Tax Office valued the stadium and the surrounding space at circa €200m.

“We hope to receive the offer from Inter and Milan this week as expected,” Sala said on Monday via Calciomercato.com.
“The two clubs are finalising the documents, and once we receive the financial plan, we will review it. I imagine it will be something substantial. We will take a few days to examine and analyse it, report to the City Council, and then decide how to proceed.
“However, this is all contingent on the offers actually arriving. The financial plan is expected to arrive within these weeks, either this one or the next, in order to meet the deadline and finalise everything before the Easter holidays.”
Milan and Inter have also explored alternative venues over the last few months.
The Rossoneri bought a wide area in San Donato, on the outskirts of Milan, while Inter considered Rozzano.
However, both clubs seem to prioritise remaining at San Siro and sharing the acquisition and refurbishment costs.
Inter and Milan have been sharing the Stadio Meazza since 1947.
Sala already warned the two Milanese clubs that if they chose the San Siro project, they would have to abandon alternative plans to build their new stadium elsewhere.
