Kylian Mbappé continued his charge up the Champions League top scorers list with a hat-trick against Kairat Almaty in Kazakhstan.
The Frenchman opened the scoring from the spot before eventually going on to earn the match ball that he can take all the way back from Almaty to Madrid.
Mbappé's latest feat was notable as it moved him into the top six all-time scorers in the competition's illustrious history.
The 26-year-old is now on 60 goals in the competition, the same number as another former Real Madrid man, Ruud van Nistelrooy. Two other notable Madrid strikers sit ahead of him in the rankings, fifth-placed Raúl González (71) and fourth-placed Karim Benzema (90) – with the former likely sweating over his place in the five.
Of course, the top three remains Robert Lewandowski (105), Lionel Messi (129), and Cristiano Ronaldo (141).
Mbappé first scored in the competition eight years ago, as he netted AS Monaco's second in a 5-3 defeat away to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in February 2017.
In total, Mbappé's 60 goals have come in just 89 games for Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain, and now his record of 12 strikes in 16 matches for Los Blancos.
Mbappe's Champions League record:
The Real Madrid man can't rest on his laurels though, while the likes of Mohamed Salah (52 goals, 10th) as well as Harry Kane and Antoine Griezmann (both 44 goals, joint 18th) have only so many Champions League games ahead of them, a certain Norwegian will be looking to catch up and is doing so at breakneck speed.
Erling Haaland's 50 goals in 49 Champions League games is an absurd record; the Manchester City man is still only 25.
