Melvine Malard put France 1-0 up against Ireland. The Manchester United forward’s strike took her to 10 goals for Les Bleues in a decisive 2027 World Cup qualifier.
As reported by L'Équipe, this was the final round of qualifying on Tuesday night.

France had briefly lost top spot in their group after the Netherlands scored earlier in the evening.
In the 40th minute, after the ball glanced off her head inside the box, the former Lyon forward launched into an acrobatic overhead that dipped under Courtney Brosnan’s bar, with the goalkeeper beaten.
The goal was Malard’s fourth of the campaign, keeping her as France’s leading scorer in these qualifiers.
