Lionel Messi & Jordi Alba could face disciplinary action from Major League Soccer MLS if they skip the All Star Game without an official excuse.

Uncertainty Surrounds Participation

The Argentine & Spanish stars were named in the MLS All Star squad to face team of Liga MX players on Wednesday at the Q2 Stadium in Austin.

However both skipped Monday's training session sparking concern over their availability.

Head coach Nicolas Estevez didn't clarify the reason behind their absence, further fueling speculation about their status for the high profile event.

MLS Rule Could Hit Miami

According to the Miami Herald, MLS regulations state that any player who misses the All Star match without valid medical reason or official exemption will be suspended for one regular season game.

If Messi & Alba don't feature and fail to provide proper documentation , they could miss Inter Miami’s crucial weekend fixture against FC Cincinnati.
