Leo Messi has been subbed out of Inter Miami's MLS showdown with the Philadelphia Union this evening due to an apparent injury concern.

The legendary Argentinian is almost always on the pitch for Miami, rarely being subbed even when leading games late on.
While the two Eastern Conference teams played out a wild 10-goal thriller in Miami this evening, the affair has potentially been marred by Messi asking to be substituted after the hour mark.
After taking a free-kick, Messi appeared to grab the back of his leg before asking to subbed out. He was immediately withdrawn by Miami manager Guillermo Hoyos.
While it may be, and hopefully is just a precautionary measure with the World Cup just weeks away, Argentina and football fans alike will be hanging on the edge of their seat to hear news regarding the legend's status in the coming hours and days.
After the match, Hoyos provided an update on the Miami superstar.
