The Mexican National Team gave a match of high notes and was crowned champion of the Concacaf Nations League for the first time in its history by defeating Panama 2-1 in the final of the continental tournament, with a direct contribution from Guadalajara.
That's right, once again there was an important Guadalajara presence in the Tricolor's lineup, as both 'Piojo' Alvarado and Luis Romo were part of 'Vasco' Aguirre's starting 11. The Rojiblanco attacker played the entire match, while Romo came off the bench at 63'.
Alvarado was a key player for the national team, as he assisted Raúl Jiménez's first goal with a precise right-footed cross for the 'Lobo Mexicano's' header at 8'. For his part, Romo played an active role in ball circulation and ball recovery. There is also Raúl Rangel, who was part of the squad that built the path to this important achievement for the Tricolor.
Now, the Chivas players will return to the Guadalajara discipline to focus on the Clausura 2025 Matchday 13 clash against Cruz Azul.
