Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has ruled out Patrick Dorgu and Matthijs de Ligt for Monday night’s Old Trafford meeting with Leeds United, with Harry Maguire suspended. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the update came at Saturday’s pre-match press conference.

Dorgu, the Denmark winger, has been sidelined since a hamstring injury sustained in January’s 3-2 win at Arsenal. He travelled with the squad to a Dublin training camp this week, but Carrick said he remains in rehab and will not feature against Leeds.

De Ligt also misses out as he continues his recovery from a back problem. Carrick explained the defender did not travel because he is not yet working on the grass and must continue treatment.

In better news, Argentina centre-back Lisandro Martinez is available after five games out with a calf issue.

Full-back Diogo Dalot is reportedly expected to be available after illness, having not travelled to Dublin to recover, and experienced goalkeeper Tom Heaton, who was also unwell, is likewise expected to be in contention.
