Michele Kang rallies OL Lyonnes after devastating Champions League final, urges focus for title decider | OneFootball

According to Le Progres, OL Lyonnes owner Michele Kang has written to supporters to console them and keep the squad focused after a devastating Champions League final defeat.

Barcelona beat OL Lyonnes 4-0 in Oslo last Saturday. Kang met fans before kick-off at the final.

In her letter, the American said she stood with fans who travelled in hope and with players who gave everything. She reflected that the match had been targeted as long-awaited revenge for the final two years ago and a special send-off for Lindsey Horan, who is preparing to return to the United States.

She thanked the team’s supporters under coach Jonatan Giráldez, highlighting 1,000 who travelled to Oslo and more than 3,000 who filled Place des Terreaux in Lyon to watch and back the side. She said their passion, energy and loyalty mattered greatly.

Kang urged the squad to channel the pain, learn and rise stronger and more united, noting they had shown that resilience before. She added she could not be prouder of each player.

Her message comes before Friday’s decisive final league match in Lyon against Paris FC, with the title on the line.
