Miguel Merentiel eyes San Lorenzo clásico after double at Lanús | OneFootball

Miguel Merentiel looked ahead to the San Lorenzo clásico after scoring twice in Boca’s win at Lanús, a much improved away display following poor home outings.

Boca prevailed with goals from Merentiel and Santiago Ascacibar, and now turn to a meeting with San Lorenzo. According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the 30-year-old Uruguayan welcomed the return to winning and his brace.

He said the team had been searching for a victory, noting the previous game against Gimnasia de Mendoza slipped away at home despite several chances, and this time those openings were taken.
