Milan back in Gila battle with Napoli, Atalanta and Inter | OneFootball

Milan have reportedly joined the race for Lazio defender Mario Gila, who is already wanted by Napoli, Atalanta and Inter with an asking price of over €25m.

The centre-back will be a free agent next summer, as his contract is running down and there are no negotiations to extend.

An exit therefore seems inevitable, although the Aquile are holding out for a big payday, especially as they still owe Real Madrid a cut of the fee thanks to his sale for just €6m in 2022.

Clubs lining up for Gila bargain

Napoli have been the most determined to get his signature so far, requested specifically by incoming coach Max Allegri.

However, now Tuttomercatoweb claim that Milan are back in the hunt for the defender who turns 26 next month.

It is not new interest, but certainly revitalised, knowing that Napoli cannot purchase Gila until they have first made another sale.

Atalanta are also still in the running, where he could reunite with former Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri, and Inter are known to be looking for defenders.
