Milan ultras are not happy about Zlatan Ibrahimovic being given more powers after the cull of coach and directorial staff. ‘Get Ibra out now too.’

Ibrahimovic given more Milan power

RedBird patron Gerry Cardinale dismissed coach Max Allegri, director of sport Igli Tare, CEO Giorgio Furlani and technical director Geoffrey Moncada in one fell swoop, announcing their sacking in a single, brutal statement.

However, special advisor Ibrahimovic remains with even more powers than he had before, and arrived at the hotel where Cardinale is staying this evening for another crisis meeting.

Milan ultras had been protesting against Furlani for a while, but were largely in favour of keeping Allegri and Tare until last night’s capitulation.

That changed today and they put up a new banner outside the Casa Milan headquarters.

‘Nobody must remain: Get Ibra out now too.’

It does not seem likely that Cardinale will sweep away the former player and special advisor too, having already fired the entire directorial and coaching staff.
