Milan are closing in on three renewals, Mike Maignan, Tijjani Reijnders, and Christian Pulisic, and are making strides also as far as Theo Hernandez is concerned, even though his agent Manuel Garcia Quilon kept things close to the vest after meeting the brass.
According to Sky, the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with both the goalie and the midfielder. The former is a bigger priority since his contract runs out in 2026. The new expiration date should be 2029 for both. The Frenchman will enjoy a pay rise to €5M, while the former AZ Alkmaar star will double his salary and make €3M.
It remains to be seen when Milan will make the announcements about Maignan, Reijnders, and Pulisic, but the parties have shaken hands. Per Matteo Moretto (via SOSFanta), the attacker will become one of the highest-paid players in the squad and earn €4/5M. He’ll re-up until 2028 with an option or directly until 2029.
As for Theo Hernandez, the hierarchy and his agent are negotiating. His salary amounts to €4M. The Rossoneri are willing to raise it to €5M plus add-ons, Gianluca DI Marzio informs. The extension wouldn’t necessarily ensure he’d stay long-term, but it’d give the club more leverage to decide what to do in case of a good offer. There’s optimism on this front as well.
In almost all cases they are reaping the benefits of Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara’s work, as the initial salaries weren’t too rich, setting the stage for renewals that aren’t backbreaking financially speaking.
