Mediaset acquired the rights for €56m plus €2m in fixed costs. The previous agreement, from 2021 to 2024, was worth €48m per season. The deal also includes the Supercoppa Italiana, which was played in January this year.
The exact prize money for the clubs involved in this season’s Coppa Italia also depends on foreign TV rights so it will be announced only at the end of the season.
However, according to the report, this season’s Coppa Italia winner can expect a €7.1m income after lifting the cup, while the other finalist will get around €4.6m.
Milan have not won the Coppa Italia since 2003, while Bologna’s latest trophy was the UEFA Intertoto Cup 27 years ago, in 1998.
