Milan ‘to pursue’ Fiorentina forward Kean as three factors could sway move | OneFootball

Moise Kean’s future at Fiorentina looks increasingly uncertain, and Milan are well placed to take advantage, with coach Massimiliano Allegri viewed as the driving force behind their renewed interest.

According to CalcioMercato, Milan have not dropped their pursuit, and Allegri asked in January for a move that proved impossible then because of squad constraints and Fiorentina’s precarious league position.

Kean signed a new contract last summer through to 2029, turning down several approaches as a show of commitment to the Viola project. Seven months on, that project has faltered and a restructuring appears likely, bringing previous suitors back into the picture.

Three factors could convince him to head to San Siro. He has a close friendship with Rafael Leao, including collaborations on rap tracks. Allegri’s longstanding faith is another pull, and Champions League football is a powerful lure, which Fiorentina cannot offer, with their only European route via the Conference League.

The obstacle is financial. Fiorentina are pointing to a 2 million release clause as their opening valuation, a figure Milan currently consider excessive and have no intention of meeting in full. Bridging that gap could define a complicated summer negotiation.
