FLW's Millwall fan pundit wants to see his side target a right-back in the upcoming January transfer window
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more...
Cody Drameh looks to be on the way out at Hull City, with several Championship sides enquiring about his future as we enter the January transfer window.
The performances of club captain Lewie Coyle have meant that gametime has been limited for the 24-year-old this season at the MKM Stadium, and he's been absent from five of the last seven matchday squads in Championship action.
One club linked is Millwall, who are set to rival the interest of Stoke City, Charlton Athletic and Preston North End for his signature, according to Sky Sports.
The right-back position hasn't been fully nailed down at the Den this season, with Ryan Leonard beginning the campaign there before injury forced him out, and centre-back Tristan Crama has had to deputise, albeit successfully.
That being said, FLW's Millwall fan pundit, Lucas Ball, believes that a new right-back needs to arrive at the Den in January, and he's welcomed the prospect of Drameh being that addition.

Drameh has run into some tough luck throughout his career thus far. Three years ago, he was instrumental in Luton Town's run to Premier League promotion through the play-offs, but since then, a failure to get into the fold back at Leeds United, paired with a relegation with Birmingham City, derailed him somewhat.
At Hull, it looked like he was ready to get things back on track, but he's seemingly fallen out of favour under Sregej Jakirovic and looks to be on the move once more.
"I'd welcome him as a signing," said Millwall fan pundit Ball, "He's performed in this league for a few years now, and he's potentially a more attacking option at right back, which is what we need."
Crama has been a good deputy at right back in Leonard's absence, but Ball believes that the Frenchman is better suited at centre back. An incoming Drameh would see him move back into the middle.
"Crama has gotten forward well and has done well throughout his time here, but he's arguably in our first-choice centre-back pairing as well, despite what Caleb Taylor has done so far next to Jake Cooper.
"Drameh gives us that option to set up differently, and also gives us the option to set up with a back five, which Alex Neil has done on a couple of occasions this season, with Crama moving into the back three and allowing Drameh to play right wing back."

Currently, outside of the makeshift right-back in Crama, Millwall's depth in the position stands at 33-year-old Ryan Leonard, who has been a mainstay in the Lions' side since he arrived in 2018, and Danny McNamara, who has recently returned from a knee injury which had kept him out since January 2025.
Ball felt that the position needed improving pre-season, but Millwall instead handed McNamara a new deal, although it is unknown how long the deal is for, adding to the year extension which Leonard triggered for this season back in March.
Midway through the campaign, the fan pundit hasn't changed his mind and believes that the current crop needs freshening up.
"Ryan Leonard is probably in the final few months of his time at the club, unless he is given an extension to be a squad player next season and spend the majority of the year on the bench," Ball added.
"Danny McNamara, equally, is probably in the final few months of his Millwall career, and he shouldn't be offered a new deal. He's not up to the level, which is a shame, but it happens.
"[Right-back] is a position we really need an upgrade in. We needed to upgrade in the summer, and the club decided against it, so it's good to see them looking at options ahead of January, and hopefully something materialises from it.
"I haven't seen loads from Drameh, but in terms of welcoming him as a signing, definitely. It's a position we need to strengthen in."
It may have been a few years ago now, but the 24-year-old does have experience of coming into a side in January and helping them secure promotion to the Premier League with Luton.
Alex Neil's side definitely has those aspirations, and perhaps Drameh could be one of the pieces this January to help build a side ready to battle for the right to earn promotion come May.
