Liverpool’s forward planning for the next era could lead them towards one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting young attackers, with RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande continuing to attract major attention across Europe. The 19-year-old Ivorian has enjoyed a rapid rise since moving to Germany, and his explosive performances have made him a player of serious interest for clubs looking to refresh their attacking options.
With Liverpool expected to reshape their frontline in the coming windows, Diomande’s name naturally stands out, according to TEAMtalk.
He has pace, directness, strong one-v-one ability and the confidence to influence matches at a high level despite his age.
Diomande joined RB Leipzig in July 2025 and is contracted to the Bundesliga club until 2030, giving Leipzig a strong position in any future negotiations.
His numbers help explain the excitement. FotMob credits Diomande with 12 goals and seven assists in the 2025/26 Bundesliga season, while Bundesliga’s official profile lists him as a 19-year-old RB Leipzig forward with Ivory Coast nationality.
That level of production from a teenager in one of Europe’s strongest leagues is exactly why his valuation has climbed so quickly.
One of his standout moments came against Eintracht Frankfurt, when he scored a second-half hat-trick in Leipzig’s 6-0 victory.
Reuters reported that Diomande completed the treble in just 18 minutes, becoming the second-youngest player to score a Bundesliga hat-trick. That kind of performance underlined his ability to decide games, not just contribute in flashes.
For Liverpool, Diomande would represent a bold but logical signing. The Reds have built much of their modern success around wide forwards who can stretch defences, press with energy and provide regular goal output.
Diomande is still developing, but his profile fits the type of dynamic attacker Liverpool have often admired.
With Mohamed Salah leaving the club, Diomande has become a priority target for the Reds.
There would, however, be obvious risks. A fee close to €100 million would place huge pressure on a player still early in his senior career.
Leipzig are also known for developing elite young talent and selling only when the price is right, meaning Liverpool would have to be decisive and financially aggressive to make a deal happen.
