Adi Hutter admitted that AS Monaco were “not 100% happy” after their 2-2 draw against OGC Nice on Sunday evening.
Hutter has frequently expressed dissatisfaction with his side’s performances this season. Despite sitting fifth in Ligue 1, just three points off leaders Paris Saint-Germain, it is the performances, more than the results, that have frustrated the Austrian.
That was the case once again against Nice. Le Gym were 1-0 up when Ali Abdi was sent off, but rather than benefitting from their numerical advantage, Monaco fell further behind when Sofiane Diop netted his second goal of the day, from the spot.
The Principality club did then fight back to salvage a draw (2-2). However, once again, Hutter was left “dissatisfied”.
“We didn’t find the right solutions to find the final goal. I am not 100% satisfied […] at the moment, we are not 100% happy. When the players are back, we will be better,” he said in a press conference attended by Get French Football News.
Hutter said that Aleksandr Golovin, Aladji Bamba, and Paul Pogba could all be back to face SCO Angers after the international break.
However, will Hutter still be the man on the sidelines? As reported by L’Équipe over the weekend, Les Monégasques have sounded out replacements, and Fabrizio Romano now understands that the Austrian could leave the club during the current international break.
