AS Monaco have reached an agreement to sign Nazinho (22) from partner club Cercle Brugge, as per a report from L’Équipe.

It could be a summer of change at Monaco, following their failure to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Several key players are set to depart, with CEO Thiago Scuro referring to a potential “end of cycle”.

At left-back, Caio Henrique could depart, leaving Kassoum Outtara as the only recognised full-back, with stand-in option Krépin Diatta also leaving the club. Nazinho is now expected to arrive in order to compete for a place in the Monaco XI.

As per Florian Plettenberg, VfB Stuttgart were also in the race, but Monaco always had an advantage, given that both ASM and Cercle Brugge are owned by Dmitry Rybolovlev. Portugal youth international Nazinho is expected to undergo a medical soon before completing a move to the Stade Louis II in a deal worth up to €5m.
