All parties have agreed on a €33m deal for George Ilenikhena (19), who is set to move from AS Monaco to Al-Ittihad in a €33m deal, according to a report from RMC Sport.

Al-Ittihad are in the market for a centre-forward due to the uncertainty surrounding 2022 Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema. The former Real Madrid striker is expected to leave the Jeddah-based SPL club over a disagreement regarding Al-Ittihad’s contractual renewal offer.

Ilenikhena joined AS Monaco 18 months ago from Royal Antwerp in a reported €17m transfer fee, which is nearly half of Al-Ittihad’s proposal despite Ilenikhena scoring only ten goals in 51 games with the Principality club.

However, due to fierce competition for places with Folarin Balogun and Mika Biereth, he has failed to nail down a place in the line-up. He has now agreed to join Al-Ittihad. The player himself has reached an agreement on a deal that will run until 2029. The deal between clubs is worth €33m (€30m plus €3m in bonuses).
