Boca Juniors are ‘closely monitoring any moves Celtic might make in June’ as they look to get Marcelo Saracchi off the books.
Saracchi has headed back to South America following the end of his loan spell at Parkhead, which ended with him scooping the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup.
The Uruguayan did impress during his time at Celtic and one former top flight star dubbed him ‘very good’ in February.
Celtic had been considering whether to push forward to keep Saracchi on a permanent basis, but they have not yet done so.
Boca Juniors would ideally like to move the left-back on as he is down the pecking order and is taking up a foreign player quota spot.

As such ‘Boca Juniors are closely monitoring any moves Celtic might make during June’, according to Argentina outlet El Intransigente.
Celtic are in a state of flux with uncertainty over who will be in charge of the club heading into next season.
Any decision on signing Saracchi on a permanent transfer may well be being left to the new manager and there is no immediate time pressure for Celtic to do a deal.
The option to buy in Saracchi’s loan deal was set at €2.5m and it is unclear if that option has a specific end date.

Saracchi made a total of 27 appearances for Celtic over the course of his loan spell and even chipped in with a goal, scoring against Livingston in February.
The defender did see his stint with the Bhoys interrupted by injury and was sidelined for two months due a hamstring injury.
Saracchi, whose Boca Juniors deal runs for another 18 months, has experience of playing for other big European clubs in the shape of RB Leipzig and Galatasaray.
