Manchester United booked their place in the Europa League final thanks to a 4-1 victory at Old Trafford.
Athletic Club came into this game with key absences but still looked the lead in Manchester when Harry Maguire's clearance ended up back in Basque possession with Mikel Jauregizar then firing in from distance to give his side hope.
Any potential Basque fight back was quashed in the second half though. Mason Mount made it 1-1 on the might and 4-1 on aggregate when he took the ball from Leny Yoro before producing a curling finish in front of the Stretford End.
Casemiro made it 2-1 on the night when he converted from the near post following Bruno Fernandes' free-kick from the right before Ramus Hojlund converted from close range to make it 3-1 on the night and 6-1 on aggregate.
The home side added to their advantage in stoppage, once again from Mason Mount. This time the midfielder took advantage of goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala coming too far out of his goal to clear a ball.
Mount took advantage before producing a finish reminiscent of Scott McTominay's against Manchester City just before the Covid break.
United have now booked their place in the final in Bilbao to face Tottenham Hotspur in an all-Premier League clash.
