According to Glorioso 1904, José Mourinho remains confident Richard Ríos and Tomás Araújo can be available for Sporting v Benfica, with Fredrik Aursnes close to involvement at Alvalade.

Ríos is still a doubt for the derby after taking a knock against Nacional, though there is optimism he will make Mourinho’s squad. After the 29th-round win in Liga Portugal Betclic, the coach indicated it looked like a minor sprain and that he would be surprised if the midfielder were not available next week.

Araújo’s status is also uncertain, with his inclusion dependent on a pitch test later in the week that will determine if he can be involved on Sunday.

Aursnes is expected to be involved, having played 13 minutes in the victory over Nacional. The focus is on ensuring Benfica’s number eight is in the best possible condition for Sporting.

Benfica visit Sporting on Sunday 19 April for the 30th round of Liga Portugal Betclic, with kick-off at 18:00 at Estádio José Alvalade.
