Murillo, the former Corinthians centre-back, produced a superb recovery tackle for Nottingham Forest against Arsenal in the Premier League.

According to Meu Timao, the Brazilian produced one of the round’s standout moments in the Forest v Arsenal fixture. He initially miscontrolled in the attacking third, gifting a counter-attack, then chased back to deflect the final shot.

Murillo came through Corinthians’ academy and stepped up in April 2023 after spells with the under-17s and under-20s. He made 27 senior appearances, featuring in the Campeonato Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil, Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana.

He left Corinthians in August 2023 to join Nottingham Forest, where he has represented the club for more than two seasons. The weekend highlight was not an isolated case.

Since arriving in England, he has regularly featured in transfer headlines, and Manchester United are considering signing the Brazilian for next season. Corinthians are monitoring the situation, as they would be entitled to a share of any Nottingham Forest profit from a future sale.
