The Rossoneri have started the season with the magic touch of Christian Pulisic, who has won MVP for September. Our #11 has got off to a flying start with four goals scored in four games. His only goalless outing came against Bologna, where he was on the pitch for only 25 minutes. Including his two goals from August, Pulisic already has 6 goals and 2 assists to his name heading into autumn. One of his standout performances was at the Bluenergy Stadium in the 3-0 win over Udinese: a superb brace and an assist for Fofana. Bursts, clever movement around the pitch, and clinical finishing in the box - it was a complete performance both technically and competitively. His consistency in the final third has injected rhythm, confidence, and belief into this AC Milan side.
Against Napoli, Chris delivered another polished performance - relentless runs, quality one-on-ones, accurate passing, and a mature approach to the heated moments of the games. He drove transitions, linked up with his teammates and forced Napoli's defence to chase him all night. His dribble past Marianucci and the visionary assist for Saelemaekers’ goal were real highlights. And after sending another brilliant ball to Fofana, who missed, it was Pulisic himself who got on the end of a pass from the Frenchman to put AC Milan 2-0 up, at least temporarily.
In the Coppa Italia, against Lecce, Pulisic came on in the second half and once again made his mark: he put the game to bed with his goal in the 64', ending 3-0. Beyond the goal he impressed with high pressing, immediate ball recoveries and skills off the ball, which all significantly raise the standard of the team. You can see his impact in his counter-pressing, his runs behind the full-backs, and his composure in crucial moments. These are all contributions as valuable as goals, and help the team to grow collectively under Coach Allegri.
The fans have spoken loud and clear: Pulisic is the MVP for September, ahead of Modrić, Rabiot, and Saelemaekers (alphabetical order). Another intense month is coming up, with Sunday's clash against Juventus away and the trip to Bergamo against Atalanta, not to mention Fiorentina and then Pisa at San Siro. The team will need the same consistency, character and the goals of a true leader like Pulisic. Let's keep up the enthusiasm and turn September's brilliant start into a winning streak. Well done, Chris!
