Nagelsmann confirms Nmecha, Karl and Undav to start for Germany against Finland | OneFootball

Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Felix Nmecha, Lennart Karl and Deniz Undav will start for Germany in Sunday’s World Cup warm-up against Finland.

Speaking on Saturday, the Germany coach outlined part of his starting XI. According to BuLi News, Nmecha will partner Aleksandar Pavlović in central midfield.

Further forward, 18-year-old Bayern youngster Karl will make his first start for Germany after impressing in training, while Undav will lead the line with Kai Havertz unavailable as he plays the Champions League final with Arsenal on Saturday evening.

Manuel Neuer also misses out as he continues his injury recovery, so Oliver Baumann will start in goal.

Nagelsmann said he does not plan to experiment too much in the first of two pre-World Cup friendlies, the other coming against the United States next week, and wants the team quickly into rhythm with many players who could also start the first World Cup match.
