Nantes ‘to consider’ Olivier Pantaloni after Lorient exit confirmed

Out of contract at Lorient after extension talks collapsed, Olivier Pantaloni has emerged as an option for Nantes, according to Ouest-France.

The Corsican coach appears to be considering the opportunity.

His name is also being linked with Toulouse for next season, but only if Carles Martinez Novell leaves.

Nantes, 17th, face a strong risk of relegation to Ligue Two. Vahid Halilhodzic will not continue beyond this season, having taken charge on 10 March after Ahmed Kantari was dismissed.

Pantaloni took Lorient back to Ligue One last summer. He has turned them into an impressive promoted side, sitting ninth. In early April, he confirmed his departure from the Morbihan club.
