Multiple sources in Italy claim Napoli and Fiorentina are currently discussing a swap deal between Cristiano Biraghi and Leonardo Spinazzola.
Serie A sides Fiorentina and Napoli could swap their left-backs in the January transfer window as Italian sources, including Sky Sport Italia and Corriere dello Sport, claim the two clubs are discussing a deal involving Biraghi and Spinazzola.
Both Italian defenders have been struggling with playing time at their clubs this season and Biraghi was even omitted from Fiorentina’s squad list for the latest matches in Conference League and Serie A.
Coach Raffaele Palladino confirmed those were “technical decisions.”
The Fiorentina captain has also been linked with José Mourinho’s Fenerbahce.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Spinazzola is not the only Napoli player attracting interest from the Stadio Franchi.
The Rome-based paper, in fact, claims that Michael Folorunsho is seen as a possible replacement for Edoardo Bove.
Napoli are also looking for a new centre-back and have been linked with Arsenal’s Jakub Kiwior, Juventus’ Danilo and the free agent Luiz Felipe.
