Napoli making a push for Chelsea’s Benoît Badiashile | OneFootball

Napoli have reportedly made Chelsea’s Benoît Badiashile (25) one of their targets for the summer transfer window, according to Foot Mercato.

As he does not appear to feature in Xabi Alonso’s plans for the coming season, the French defender could leave Stamford Bridge should an attractive offer come in. A fee of €30m could help convince the Blues’ management to part ways with the Limoges-born player.

Napoli, who are very interested, are reportedly making moves behind the scenes, whilst Real Sociedad are also monitoring the situation, albeit with less urgency.

Signed from AS Monaco for €38m in the winter of 2023, Badiashile has never managed to establish himself as an undisputed first-team regular at the London club. Plagued by injuries and limited to a substitute role, the 25-year-old made just 16 appearances last season, starting 11 of them. This brings his total number of appearances for the Blues to 71, having also scored two goals and provided one assist.
