Napoli are targeting Mario Gila, but Lazio’s stance is disputed after the club chose Massimiliano Allegri as their next head coach. The 26-year-old has impressed in Serie A and drawn interest in Italy and abroad.
Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Napoli are pushing to sign the Spaniard, while Lazio are refusing to sell despite his contract running down.
Lazio would have to share any fee with Real Madrid due to a 50% sell-on clause, and Gila earns €1 million a year, factors that could encourage the club to keep him.
Alfredo Pedullà claims Lazio have set a €30 million price, but could accept €20 million to avoid losing him for free in 2027. He also cites interest from Atletico Madrid and says Napoli remain in the driving seat.
Gila’s agent, Alejandro Camano, has previously expressed a wish to take his client to the Stadio Maradona.
