Massimiliano Allegri’s move to Napoli remains stalled after exactly 30 days of negotiations with Milan over his severance package, with the tension between the parties now rising to the point where a legal battle before the sporting justice system has become a genuine possibility.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, two scenarios are now on the table for the coming days. The first is a financial agreement between Allegri’s agent and Milan, covering both the coach and his staff, which would clear the path for the Livorno native to sign a three-year contract with the Italian champions.

The second is Allegri’s resignation, which would immediately open a separate front: a potential damages claim before the sporting courts. Neither Milan nor Napoli want that outcome, and both sides retain cautious confidence that a resolution is close.

Allegri’s staff already moving on as Napoli run out of patience with Milan impasse

Aurelio De Laurentiis does not want the situation to drag beyond this week, a position that reflects the growing frustration within Napoli at a process complicated from the outset, with the ongoing chaos surrounding the leadership at Milan.

Allegri himself is currently on holiday in Sardinia, waiting for the situation to be resolved before travelling to sign his contract.

Two members of his staff have already secured their futures independently. Goalkeeping coach Claudio Filippi has resolved his Milan contract and accepted a role at Fiorentina under Fabio Paratici, while Bernardo Corradi has been announced as the new Sampdoria head coach.
