Sport Bild reports that TSG Hoffenheim’s new signing Nathan De Cat has a contract including a €70 million release clause that becomes active in summer 2027.

The Bundesliga club landed the 18-year-old midfielder from RSC Anderlecht earlier this month for a reported €20 million, beating competition from Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Chelsea.

De Cat has signed a long-term contract with Hoffenheim running until 2031.

Despite only recently turning 18, he made 53 first team appearances for Anderlecht.

He made his senior international debut for Belgium in March.
