FLW's Charlton fan pundit is pleased with how the Addicks have reacted to Brighton's offers.
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
Charlton Athletic striker Micah Mbick is the subject of transfer interest from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion as a result of his impressive loan spell at Colchester United.
The Addicks have turned down two bids from the Seagulls, with the latest offer being worth a total of £3.5 million including add-ons, as per The Athletic's David Ornstein.
Mbick has scored eight goals in all competitions for the U's so far this season, and his good form earned him a place in the England U20 squad in November.
Brighton are no strangers to signing young talented players early in their careers, and it is clear they have identified Mbick as one who could develop into a real asset in years to come.
With the Premier League outfit said to be pondering making a third bid for the 19-year-old, we asked our Charlton fan pundit, Alfie, what he makes of the situation.

Alfie admitted he was pleased to see the Addicks turn down Brighton's bids for Mbick, as he would like to see the club receive the highest fee possible if they are going to sell an exciting player who is under contract until at least 2028.
"It's a really interesting one with Mbick," Alfie said.
"We all saw him last season, at the tail end of the promotion campaign, and we all saw a lot of raw elements that needed to be helped.
"He needed to be trained and refined, and I think, moving into the Championship, there wasn't really time for that, especially with us trying to stay up.
"I was really happy to see him go out on loan to Colchester, and to be honest, he has completely gone past my expectations.
"He has had a really good season at Colchester so far. Lots of people throughout the season have been wondering if he is the answer to our striker problems and whether we should recall him in January.
"I prefer what we have done, which is not put pressure on a youngster to sort out our goalscoring problems.
"In terms of how much I think he is worth, it is hard to say at this stage because he has only done it at League Two level over a brief amount of time.
"The club are obviously more aware of his talents, and I am very happy with the way they are approaching this business, because Brighton are definitely interested, and if we are going to sell him, then let's do it for as much as possible.
"Whether he stays with us or whether he moves on, Mbick is yet another one off the conveyor belt of the Charlton academy who is doing really well.
"Charlton have one of the best academies in the country, pound for pound, and Mbick is just the latest on a long, long list of players who have graduated and attracted interest from top clubs like Brighton."

Charlton boss Nathan Jones has stated that Micah Mbick is not for sale, and explained that the young striker will come back and play at The Valley in the future, as per South London Sport: Charlton Athletic Edition.
With the club's proven aforementioned track record of producing academy graduates who go on to star at a higher level, Charlton supporters will love Jones' own stance on Mbick's future, with the striker potentially set to truly catch fire at the Valley in 2026/27.
"Micah Mbick isn't for sale," Jones said.
"It has been a perfect loan for Micah. Now the fact he is a profile, of course he is going to attract (interest). But the intention was always to bring Micah Mbick back when we feel he is going to play minutes for us.
"There will come a time when Micah comes back and plays for us.
"Imagine if he comes back and does what he does for Colchester for Charlton Athletic.
"If he scores 10 Championship goals, he is a different animal altogether.
