Nelson Semedo announces Wolves departure

Nélson Semedo has officially left Wolverhampton Wanderers following the expiry of his contract on 30 June 2025.

The Portuguese right-back, who signed from Barcelona in 2020, officially became a free agent this summer. Wolves had put a new four-year contract on the table, but Semedo was given time to consider his future and held discussions with other clubs.

Despite the offer, Wolves had been planning for the upcoming season without him, having long expected that he would move on. The club were simply awaiting confirmation from the player himself.

Semedo has now announced his departure with a farewell message and a video filmed at Molineux, bringing his time in the West Midlands to a close.

He made 182 appearances for the club in all competitions and was a regular figure throughout his stay.

Wolves are now in the market for a new right-back as part of their summer recruitment drive.
