Neo Química Arena to host Corinthians v Fluminense in women’s Brasileirão

On the morning of this Wednesday (11), the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed the Neo Química Arena as the venue for the match between Corinthians and Fluminense for the second round of the Brazilian Women's Championship. The match will take place at 9:30 pm (Brasília time) on February 20. This Friday (13), the Brabas will make their debut against Atlético-MG, at 9 pm, at Arena MRV.

It is worth remembering that, since mid-May 2025, Fazendinha (Estádio Alfredo Schürig) has been unable to host night games due to problems with the lighting structures at the venue. According to president Osmar Stabile, Alvinegro is in talks with a partner to enable the maintenance of the venue's structures, as the club does not have the financial means to cover the costs.

Since the reactivation of women's football in 2016, the Brabas have never been defeated playing at Neo Química Arena. In total, there have been 27 wins and two draws in 29 matches, which represents a success rate of 95.4%, with 74 goals scored and 16 conceded. The club from Parque São Jorge is the biggest winner of the national competition in the category with seven titles (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025).

The last match of Lucas Piccinato's squad at Neo Química Arena took place on December 4, when Alvinegro defeated São Paulo 2-1 in the second leg of the Women's Paulista Championship semifinals. Besides this match, the Brabas also played at Itaquera on another occasion last year: in the Brasileirão final, in September, with a 1-0 win over Cruzeiro, with a goal scored by defender Thais Ferreira.
