Inter left Sardinia with a valuable 2-0 victory against Cagliari on Saturday evening, with Italian starlet Francesco Pio Esposito scoring his first goal for the club.
The result keeps Cristian Chivu’s side moving back up the Serie A table.
Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring after just nine minutes but it was the second goal that stole the headlines.
Pio Esposito, the 19-year-old striker, finally grabbed his first Serie A goal.
After weeks of waiting and coming close, he sealed the three points with a late strike in the 82nd minute.
The goal capped a memorable night for the youngster, who was facing his brother Sebastiano in the opposition colours.

The breakthrough strike has been described by the Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, as the moment to unlock Esposito’s potential.
With the pressure now lifted, the Nerazzurri hope more goals will follow.
Chivu has shown faith in him since the summer and the forward repaid that trust in Sardinia with a decisive finish.
