Vitor Roque was one of many Barcelona players who left Barcelona on a loan deal to prove themselves elsewhere.
In the case of Roque, he joined Real Betis on loan, with the Spanish outfit being given an option to sign him permanently next summer.
Roque even had a promising start to his life at Betis, which even earned praise from coach Manuel Pellegrini. However, the forward’s goalscoring form has dwindled since the turn of the year.
Now, if reports from Diario SPORT are to be believed, Real Betis have made a definitive decision regarding Vitor Roque’s future.
The club have determined that the Brazilian forward will not remain at the club beyond this season. Consequently, Barcelona will need to find a new team for the player, who has struggled to make an impact at Betis.

Barcelona, who initially loaned Roque to Betis due to their good relationship with the club, had always preferred a permanent sale.
With Betis unwilling to keep him, Barcelona’s primary objective is now to sell Roque and recoup a significant portion of the €30 million investment they made when signing him from Atlético Paranaense.
Sporting Lisbon remains interested, especially as they anticipate the departure of Viktor Gyokeres in the summer. Meanwhile, Palmeiras in Brazil is also a potential destination, though Roque himself is reluctant to return to his home country.
Saudi Arabian clubs appear to be out of the picture as Roque prioritizes continuing his career in a European league.
Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, is actively exploring options and has confirmed that the forward still holds value in both European and Brazilian markets.
Therefore, it will be interesting to see how things transpire in the summer and whether or not Barcelona manage to find a new club for the Brazilian outcast.
