After Liverpool hijacked their move for Victor Munoz (22), Newcastle are interested in signing Matias Fernandez-Pardo (21) from Lille as a potential alternative to the Spanish international forward, according to The Athletic. The Magpies are looking to bolster their attacking options during the summer transfer window.

The Premier League club have already seen their attacking options weakened. With Anthony Gordon departing for Barcelona, Newcastle are keen to recruit new additions for their forward line. Munoz was their priority target. However, after Liverpool expressed an interest, he had a change of heart and ultimately moved to Anfield. Fernandez-Pardo has emerged as a potential alternative for Eddie Howe.
