Newcastle could be without Nick Woltemade due to illness for the clash with Manchester United.
The Germany international has not trained ahead of the game on Wednesday.
“Nick Woltemade hasn’t trained through illness, but we will give him every chance for tomorrow,” boss Eddie Howe said ahead of the game.
Jacob Ramsey was taken off through illness in the defeat to Everton on Saturday but has trained ahead of the visit of Manchester United.
“Jacob Ramsey trained fine yesterday,” he said.
Tino Livramento has been out with a hamstring injury since the start of January and is still not ready to return, meanwhile.
“Tino Livramento is getting closer and closer, this game possibly comes too soon for him,” Howe said. “We are desperate for him to become available.”
Manchester United have been in good form, winning six of their last seven games, but Howe said his side will attack the game positively: “Our intention in every game is to get into them, be a proactive team rather than a reactive team. Attack them.
“They have tweaked things tactically; they have a really good atmosphere there. You can see an upturn in their general performance; they have some really good players. It is a chance for us to rediscover our best form at home.”
