Lamine Camara has been linked with a move away from AS Monaco at the end of the season.
According to a report from Footmercato, Newcastle United have stepped up their efforts to sign the 22-year-old Senegal International, and he will cost €50 million in the summer. The report claims that Liverpool will respond to Newcastle’s interest and hopes to sign the player as well.
Both clubs could use more quality in the middle of the park, and the 22-year-old would be an excellent acquisition. He will add physicality, defensive cover, and work rate in the middle of the park. The 22-year-old has the physicality and technical attributes for English football, and he could be a future star for Newcastle or Liverpool.
The asking price is quite high, and it remains to be seen whether Newcastle or Liverpool decide to pay up. Camara might be able to justify the investment in future.

Meanwhile, the player’s representatives have recently met with Newcastle, and Liverpool are aware of the situation. They are extremely keen to sign the player, and it remains to be seen whether they will present an official proposal in the coming weeks.
The opportunity to join Liverpool will be exciting for the Senegal International. It would be a huge step up in his career, and he would get to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
However, Camara must seek assurance of gametime before joining a new club. Sitting on the bench at a big club would be detrimental to his development. If Liverpool cannot provide him with regular first-team action, it would be ideal for him to join Newcastle.
