Newcastle target Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha to replace Bruno Guimarães | OneFootball

Newcastle United are reported to have made Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha (25) one of their top targets to replace Bruno Guimarães (29), who is set to join Arsenal, according to L’Équipe.

Talks between the two clubs are said to have already begun, with the Magpies reportedly already aware of their German counterparts’ expectations regarding the feasibility of such a move. Manchester United and Manchester City, his former club, have also been linked with the German midfielder.

Under contract with BvB until 2030, Nmecha is regarded as a player with the right profile to strengthen the English club’s midfield, which has already secured the signing of Aladji Bamba (20) from AS Monaco.

A key player for Borussia last season, the Hamburg-born midfielder started 36 of his 42 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing three assists. Selected by Julian Nagelsmann for the World Cup, he started every one of the four matches (one goal, two assists) played by the Mannschaft.
