Sevilla’s plan to keep Odysseas Vlachodimos has stalled, with Newcastle United’s valuation placing a permanent deal beyond the club’s constrained budget.
Fútbol Finanzas reports that Newcastle have told the Greece international he is not in Eddie Howe’s plans, yet set his price at 10 million pounds, around 11.8 million euros. That outlay is beyond Sevilla under LaLiga’s salary cap.
Informe Morrocotudo noted the 30-year-old had conveyed his wish to stay under Luis García Plaza after impressing as first-choice, a surge that has boosted his market value.
Newcastle are seeking to recoup part of the 24 million euros paid to Nottingham Forest, and while prepared to cut that by more than half, they do not intend to let him go cheaply.
Muchodeporte reports Sevilla have intensified checks on Diego Conde, 27, who is not in Íñigo Pérez’s plans at Villarreal, where Luiz Júnior and Arnau Tenas will compete for the starting role. Despite a contract to June 2029, his third-choice status will prompt an exit, with Sevilla facing competition from two other proposals.
Julen Agirrezabala also remains on the radar. If Newcastle reduce their demands and Vlachodimos becomes attainable, he would be the pick, otherwise Sevilla will move on the alternatives.
