Despite their front office shake-up, Juventus remain very interested in bringing Sandro Tonali back to Serie A and have put together a large package to lure him, but their attempt will most likely be in vain once again.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady is willing to offer a blockbuster trade involving Dusan Vlahovic, Douglas Luiz, and maybe Nicolò Savona, whom Newcastle United targeted earlier in the summer. On the other hand, the Magpies paid €65M for the former Milan star and then waited for him during his 10-month suspension. He’s basically untouchable. Plus, they have qualified for the Champions League.
The Premier League outfit is indeed looking for a striker. Liverpool are pursuing Alexander Isak, and they missed out on Benjamin Sesko and Darwin Nunez. However, Dusan Vlahovic has yet to show interest in other destinations besides Milan.
Per Mattia Moretto and Fabrizio Romano (via SOSFanta), Juventus clearly like Tonali, but Newcastle United want to keep him, and he’s not looking for a way out.
Among the several midfield targets linked to the Bianconeri, the most concrete one is Matt O’Riley, whose turn at Brighton hasn’t gone as well as he would have liked, TuttoSport informs. On the other hand, the Old Lady needs to sell two among Douglas Luiz, Fabio Miretti, and Weston McKennie first. Plus, Roma, Napoli, Everton, Sunderland, and Nottingham Forest are also keen on the Dane.
They’ll likely be in pole position once he decides to come back to Italy given their multi-year courtship, but there are no hints about that for now. If they manage to make room, they should bring in a proper regista.
