Newcastle v Barcelona tickets have now gone on sale (see details below) for the U19s UEFA Youth League match.

One of the additional benefits of United qualifying for the Champions League, is that the young Newcastle United stars get to play against some of their best European counterparts.

None of them better than the reigning UEFA Youth League champions – Barcelona.

The Newcastle United teenagers (Under 18s) are in great form, with four wins and a draw this season in their five matches, including a 4-3 win away at Liverpool on Saturday (read about that below).

The Newcastle v Barcelona UEFA Youth League clash takes place at Whitley Park on Thursday, a 3pm kick-off. Though make sure you get a ticket in advance if you fancy going, as you won’t be allowed to pay on the door.

Tickets for Newcastle United Under-19s’ UEFA Youth League opener against FC Barcelona are now on sale.

The Toon teenagers welcome the defending champions to Whitley Park on Thursday, 18th September (kick-off 3pm) and digital tickets went on sale from 12pm (BST) on Tuesday, 16th September and are available to purchase online at book.newcastleunited.com.

Under-18s – £3

A morale boosting victory over Liverpool for the young Newcastle United stars.

Having started the season with a draw and three wins (one of them in the PL Cup), the Newcastle United Under 18s continue to march on.

Great to see, as they went to Merseyside and got that latest win on Saturday against Liverpool on their own patch.

The young Liverpool stars had won both league matches so far this season and looked set to continue their 100 per cent record, when they took the lead just before the half hour mark.

However, United quickly hit back with an equaliser from Matt Taylor before half-time.

Newcastle’s teenagers then came out for the second-half and within seconds it was Alfie Seldon putting United 2-1 up.

Things got even better as less than ten minutes later it was 3-1 to the visitors, Kacey Wooster with the goal.

Liverpool not done though and they pulled it back to 2-3 and then 3-3.

With a minute to go, the inevitable happened, yet another 4-3 on Merseyside.

Yes, Newcastle United won it!

Kacey Wooster with his second goal, meaning it was United who came out on top in this seven goal thriller away at Liverpool.

That actually makes it three seasons in a row that the Newcastle United Under 18s have won away at Liverpool.
