The Athletic reports that FC Cincinnati have opened exploratory talks over Neymar regarding a possible MLS move, aiming to assess feasibility, the player's interest and requirements.
Cincinnati are 10th in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer. The club see themselves as a credible destination for international stars, citing financial strength and modern facilities.
A significant hurdle remains. There is no Designated Player slot available, with Kévin Denkey, Miles Robinson and Evander occupying the three slots.
Neymar's objective remains to convince coach Carlo Ancelotti to recall him for Brazil at the World Cup, which runs from 11 June to 19 July, after he was omitted in March.
The 34-year-old has three goals and three assists in six games for Santos FC, with whom he is under contract until December 2026.
