Niclas Füllkrug ‘to join’ AC Milan on loan with 12 million euros option | OneFootball

West Ham forward Niclas Füllkrug, 32, is expected to arrive in Milan on Monday evening ahead of a free loan to AC Milan that includes a 12 million euros option to buy.

Sky Sports reports that he could be used by Massimiliano Allegri as early as the Serie A match at Cagliari on 2 January, thanks to an exemption from the Italian Football Federation. The game is the only one of matchday 18 on the opening night of the winter window, so both clubs can field new signings.

Füllkrug has struggled at West Ham after arriving in summer 2024 for 27 million euros, failing to score since April. He has 3 goals and 2 assists in 29 matches.

His last prolific campaign came in 2023-2024 with Borussia Dortmund, producing 16 goals and 10 assists. He helped the club reach the Champions League final, scoring against PSG.

He will look to revive his form in Italy.
