L’Équipe reports that three candidates are in contention to replace Roberto De Zerbi at Olympique de Marseille, including Nigeria's Éric Chelle.

De Zerbi’s 18-month tenure ended by mutual consent in the early hours of Wednesday. He departs with OM fourth in Ligue 1 and still in the Coupe de France, though a 3-0 loss to Club Brugge ended their UEFA Champions League campaign.

Habib Beye and Sergio Conceicao are also being considered as the club assess options.

The report adds that Éric Chelle, a Malian national who played professionally in France, has been offered to OM.

He most recently led Nigeria to third place at the Africa Cup of Nations, beating Egypt on penalties in the third-place play-off after a penalty shootout defeat to Morocco.
