Club draw line under bitter legal dispute

No appeal, no comeback — PSG make final call in Mbappé case
Paris Saint-Germain have chosen not to appeal court ruling ordering the club to pay €61 million to former star Kylian Mbappe.
Paris Saint Germain have taken new decision in their long-running legal dispute with Kylian Mbappe who now plays for Real Madrid.
The conflict began after Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid, with both sides claiming financial rights linked to how their relationship ended.
The case reached the Paris labor court which ruled in December in favor of the French forward.
The court ordered PSG to pay €61 million covering unpaid salaries, bonuses and compensation related to the final months of Mbappe’s contract.
According to French newspaper Le Monde, PSG have now decided not to appeal the ruling. The club later confirmed the decision in official statement.
PSG explained that the choice was made out of responsibility and desire to bring an end to dispute that had lasted too long. The club added that it now wants to focus fully on the future and on its sporting project.
The labor court detailed that the amount includes €55 million in unpaid wages and around €6 million linked to unused holiday payments.
Despite Mbappe’s departure, PSG went on to win Champions League for first time in their history last season marking major milestone for the club.
