Arsenal have been handed good news regarding their club captain, according to Sky Sports.

The Gunners have been without Martin Odegaard for the past month with an ankle injury. It was recently reported that the Norwegian suffered a setback in his recovery and may not return until December.

However, this has now been dismissed with Sky Sports revealing that the 25-year-old has not suffered any problem in his rehabilitation. Arsenal are hopeful that he can make his comeback next month.

A post on X read: “Contrary to reports on social media, Martin Odegaard has not suffered a setback and Arsenal are hopeful he can return from his ankle injury in November.”

Arsenal receive good news on Odegaard

The Gunners have coped well with the absence of Odegaard with Leandro Trossard providing good cover in the starting XI. Bukayo Saka has stepped up with the most chances created in the Premier League.

Saka is currently doubtful after picking up a hamstring issue on England duty, but the club’s faithful will be hoping that he can recover in time for next weekend’s game against Bournemouth on the road.

Meanwhile, the latest update on Odegaard should provide some relief too. The playmaker was recently spotted working out in an anti-gravity treadmill and it may not be long before his return.

The Gunners skipper could return to training by the end of the month if he makes the right progress.

Arsenal have another crucial period ahead after the break. They have some key fixtures against Liverpool, Newcastle United, Inter Milan and Chelsea – three of those away being away from home.

It remains to be seen whether Odegaard will be involved before the next international break.
