Cole Palmer has sent a four word message to Noni Madueke after his move to Arsenal was officially confirmed on Friday.

Madueke has joined the Gunners in a deal worth up to £52m, and signed a five year deal with Mikel Arteta’s side, bringing his spell at Chelsea to an end.

The deal is thought to be worth an initial £48m with a further £4m in add ons, representing a profit for Chelsea on the £29m they paid in January 2023.

Palmer sends Madueke message following Arsenal move

Madueke spent two and half years at Chelsea and in that time won the Conference League, and was also part of the squad which won the Club World Cup, although he wasn’t present at the final.

The 23-year-old played an important role last season, with seven goals and four assists in 32 Premier League appearances.

Before his moved was officially confirmed Madueke took to Instagram to post a thank you message to Chelsea and the supporters.

“Dear Chelsea Football Club. I want to thank you for the last three or so years,” he wrote.

“To every staff member who helped me along this journey, thank you. To my teammates thank you for everything, I leave with only love and admiration for you guys.

“We achieved so much this season and I honestly wish you guys nothing but the best.

“To Enzo Maresca, it was a privilege to play under you, thank you for trying to better me as a player and as a person.

“Lastly thank you to every single Chelsea fan. Thank you for the love, the praise and also the criticism, I appreciate it all. I leave here with nothing but fond memories.”

Palmer, who’s been team-mates with Madueke from their days in the England under-21 squad replied with “good luck my boy.”

Nkunku and Felix to also leave

Madueke won’t be the only attacker to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, with Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix both expected to leave.

Felix only arrived last summer for £45m from Atletico Madrid, but has indicated his desire to return to former club Benfica.

Nkunku has interest from both Bayern Munich and Manchester United, although it’s not been entirely ruled out he could end up staying.
